Maintain or Press in?

Sometimes we get so satisfied with the benefits of salvation that we have no desire to have an intimate relationship with Christ. We’re satisfied with the fact that we walked down the aisle at church, said a prayer and now we’re saved.

There is a daily journey that comes after salvation. That includes, crucifying your flesh DAILY, meeting and talking with God daily, reading your Bible daily.

Crucifying your flesh means, working towards eliminating those things that satisfy your flesh but don’t glorify God. Treating people with love even when they don’t have a loving bone in their body. Avoiding places that lead you back to sin. Avoid movies and music that lead you into sin.

Walking down the aisle at church is a one-time event but your relationship with Christ….that has to be worked on daily.

Spend time with Him. Talk to Him. Love On Him.

  1. Hi Myrlande,

Thank you for your post. I’m so thankful that Jesus has made a way for us to be in relationship with Him. I cannot imagine life without Him, He is my everything. Like with all relationships, it takes effort to get to know someone. Jesus already knows everything about me and still loves me. So blessed. So thankful.
