What’s your secret?

Good afternoon iWaited Family!

2 Kings 17:9 says “The people of Israel had also secretly done many things that were not pleasing to the Lord their God.” (2 Kings 17:9 NLT)

At this point in the book of 2 Kings, king after king takes over Israel and Judah. Although some kings did right in the Lord’s eyes, they failed to tear down the high places dedicated to other gods. The above verse tells us the people began do their sins in secret. Moving along in the passage you’ll see that the people’s rebellion led to God allowing the people of Israel to be handed over to Assyria.

Doing things in secret can cause God to hand you over to your “Secret sin”. The sin that no one but you and God know about. On the outside you look good and holy but you HEART is so far from God.

There’s this quote: “Sin will take you farther than you ever wanted to go. Sin will cost you more than you ever wanted to pay. And sin will keep you longer than you ever intended to stay. Sin will promise you everything but leave you with nothing. Sin will love you for a season and curse you for eternity.”

Sin feels good in the moment but that eternal damnation is it really worth??

Hand yout heart over to HIM and let HIM cleanse you. You’ve been saying you’re going to get yourself together and THEN go to God but if you had the ability to do it on your own you would have done it already.

He’s waiting…don’t let Him wait too long.

Let’s run this race together! See you at the finish line!!
